Here is a quick trick I use around the holidays to transform framed pictures into temporary holiday decorations. Making those framed pictures fit in with your holiday decor is super simple, and it takes just minutes to transform them to fit the season. Pieces of fabric inserted into a frame can be as simple or festive as you like and make a big impact without a lot of money or time. You can then add window clings, or wall decals to make your frame sparkle and shine with Christmas flare without damaging the glass. It is a totally temporary solution for the holidays, super inexpensive, and easy too!
Well last weekend was eventful in our house, as I’m sure it was in lots of yours too. After a couple days of food and family, we got the house all decked out for Christmas. It is one of my favorite family activities of the year, and the kids love everything about it too! This year I added a few new Christmas decorations that I made myself with a few simple, and inexpensive supplies. This one includes a scrap piece of burlap, some red craft paint, glitter, and a thrifted embroidery hoop. This project was super cheap but has a big impact in our living room. A simple, sweet message in glitter to remind us what the season is all about.
Today I am bringing you yet a another home decor idea combing two of my favorite things, family photos and quotes. This wall art project involves a sequence of pictures of our family holding hands and leaping into a leaf pile and a quote that fit’s it perfectly. Combing them together in a cluster of canvases makes for a personalized and inspiring pieces of home decor that is symbolic and a great daily reminder of what is most important to our family, each other!
Three little stools on their way to the garbage turned into fresh pieces of home decor with a little spray paint and love. These stools were given and I instantly knew that they would be perfect for our home. The are totally functional, and with a new paint job fit our home perfectly. They are perfect for extra kids at the dining room table, the perfect side tables to pull up to a chair in the living room, and fit into sweet little nooks so the kids can sit and put their shoes on by the door.
Halloween is just a few days a way! Need a friendly way to greet those adorable trick or treaters that stop by your door this Halloween? Meet our new friend who was created in just minutes using a tomato cage, Christmas lights, a bed sheet, and a pair of plastic dollar store eyes. What a fun way to light up your porch this Halloween and create a glowing ghost friend from things you already have! Every kid who has seen our little ghost has found him to be super awesome, but not too scary!
Halloween is a holiday filled with mystery little kids. How are they not to love an entire day dedicated to dressing up and collecting all sorts of candy and treats just because they look cute in their costumes. My kids love Halloween, and they love any project that is Halloween inspired. This project uses toilet paper rolls and allows the kids to transform them into adorable Frankenstein Halloween decorations. Let them create the Halloween decor in your home!
Here is an adorable and simple DIY Halloween decoration that you can make up in minutes. Rescue a few jars from the recycling and grab your hot glue gun for this goofy Halloween craft. Since the kids are still little, scary decorations are a no-go in our house. These mummies are super silly and friendly enough to be fun for the kids this Halloween. With a few supplies you can convert those jars into an entire family of adorable mummies that can be lit up for the perfect Halloween decoration day or night.
Halloween is just around the corner, and during the month of October I love to do Halloween crafts to keep the kids busy. Here is a simple craft that requires just a few supplies! Save those egg cartons from the trash and transform them into some adorable Halloween Bats. The kids will have a blast making them and be so proud to help decorate your home for Halloween with their hand crafted bat friends!
Halloween is just around the corner and we are getting excited. We love to decorate the house with spooky decorations and inexpensive crafts that we can do without breaking the bank. On a recent trip to the Dollar store I scored some simple white candles that were perfect for a little ghostly craft. It took only a few minutes to do and left us with a charming little Halloween decoration.
I love simple holiday crafts that are quick, easy, and inexpensive. This wreath is all of those things and more! With a few simple supplies and a few minutes you can create this adorably silly googly eyed wreath to decorate your home this Halloween.
