Kids Craft – July Fourth Windsock

We are in full blown summer mode as of this week, so be prepared to be bombarded on A Spotted Pony with kid crafts, projects, and activities!  When the kids are home for the summer they are my number one priority, so other projects get put on hold while we make memories during the summer!  I figure, why not share it all with you in case you need some inspiration with summer time activities.  Here is a super simple craft project that you can do with the kids to create a fantastic patriotic windsock to help decorate outside for the fourth f July holiday!  It is super inexpensive to make, helps kids work on patterns, colors, and cutting, and is super cute swaying in the wind outdoors to boot.  Grab some plastic disposable table cloths in red white and blue and get ready to do a craft with the kids to celebrate independence.

Kid’s Easter Craft – Birds Of A Feather Candy Holder

Here is a fun little craft to get your kid’s excited for Easter!  Little plastic Easter eggs make the perfect base to create a bird that is fun, cute, and that can even store a little surprise!  My kids spent two hours decorating their own little birds and another hour playing with them!  They can be used as decorations, toys, candy holders, or even table decorations for the kid’s Easter table.  They are as fun to play with as they are to make, and are the perfect project to do at home with the kid’s while they are on spring break from school!  Gather some plastic eggs and get busy making them into the cutest little birds of a feather that will always stick together.

Framed Picture To Temporary Christmas Decoration

Here is a quick trick I use around the holidays to transform framed pictures into temporary holiday decorations.  Making those framed pictures fit in with your holiday decor is super simple, and it takes just minutes to transform them to fit the season.  Pieces of fabric inserted into a frame can be as simple or festive as you like and make a big impact without a lot of money or time.  You can then add window clings, or wall decals to make your frame sparkle and shine with Christmas flare without damaging the glass.  It is a totally temporary solution for the holidays, super inexpensive, and easy too!
