DIY Halloween Mummy Light Decoration

Here is an adorable and simple DIY Halloween decoration that you can make up in minutes.  Rescue a few jars from the recycling and grab your hot glue gun for this goofy Halloween craft.  Since the kids are still little, scary decorations are a no-go in our house.  These mummies are super silly and friendly enough to be fun for the kids this Halloween.  With a few supplies you can convert those jars into an entire family of adorable mummies that can be lit up for the perfect Halloween decoration day or night.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Pumpkin Treat

Throughout a rainy and cold weekend we managed to have some indoor fun, carve pumpkins, do Halloween crafts, and spend some quiet time together as a family.  We made our staple soft cookie bars, but turned them into a cute pumpkin style Halloween treat to help celebrate pumpkin carving day in our house.  It was the perfect treat to share after carving pumpkins and allowed the kids to each make and decorate their own Jack-o-lantern shaped cookie.

Kid’s DIY Princess Toadstool And Princess Peach Costumes

This year’s Halloween costumes are done, and my little ones are sporting some cute new DIY costumes.  I dislike the thought of spending ton’s of money on cheaply made Halloween costumes, so I always like to make my own.  This year Princess Toadstool and Toad from Super Mario were the final choice, and the kid’s play the part just right.  For about $25.00 total I was able to create two totally unique and adorable costumes.

Kid’s Halloween Craft – Fleece Monster Tie Pillows

This month I was lucky enough to have my niece and nephew spending a weekend at our house.  I wanted to come up with a fun craft that the cousins could all do together to get them excited for Halloween.  These monster pillows are the perfect craft for the kids to make and enjoy the entire month of October.  Let your little monsters create their own little monster pillows  just in time for Halloween.  These are no sew fun and hard not to love for kids of any age!

Halloween Monster Pops – Fun To Make And Eat

What I Wore Wednesday – Flip Flops And Flannel

I had a small obsession with flannel last winter and was super excited to bust out the tote full of winter and fall clothes.  The flannel and flip flops will probably only last a few weeks, but I am loving it!  This week I was able to put together three ultra comfortable outfits that worked great for this mom on the go as an alternative to the old sweatshirts and yoga pants.

Crock Pot Apple Butter Recipe

Dollar Store Candles Turned Halloween Ghost Decoration

Halloween is just around the corner and we are getting excited.  We love to decorate the house with spooky decorations  and inexpensive crafts that we can do without breaking the bank.  On a recent trip to the Dollar store I scored some simple white candles that were perfect for a little ghostly craft.  It took only a few minutes to do and left us with a charming little Halloween decoration.
