Thanksgiving Craft For Kids – Thankful Turkey

We are less than a week from Thanksgiving and at our house it is all about turkeys this year.  After reading a dozen books from the library and at school about turkeys, the kids are excited to celebrate Thanksgiving with our families.  We spent a lot of time this month talking about the things, and people that we are thankful for and really try to help the kids see this holiday as a chance to give thanks for what they have.  Here is a cute turkey craft that does just that.  A paper plate and construction paper transform into a cute way to display what the kids are thankful for.

Toilet Paper Roll Turkey Craft For Kids

I love the idea of letting the kids help create things that will decorate our home for the Holidays.  This Thanksgiving the kids and I have been geared up and created three great turkey crafts to help deck out our house for turkey day.  Most of our Thanksgiving activities are centered around conversations about being thankful and counting our blessings.  This particular project is more for the fun of adding some cute turkeys to our fall decor in our house.  This simple kids craft is fun to make, keeps the kids busy, and allows them to help decorate for Thanksgiving!

In an effort to redeem myself from last week, I worked very hard to come up with four outfits instead of my usual three.  I also wanted to do my best to make them super thrifty too.  With the combination of clearance and sale price items along with thrifted and garage sale finds,  I was able to do just that.  Getting dressed is more fun with great budget friendly finds that you love.    A striped scarf, fun plaid shirts, a refashioned vest and  a great pair of boots for less than a dollar.  Here are four cool weather friendly looks that any mom can achieve on a major budget.

Make And Play With Halloween Colored Playdough

I am always looking for ways to make our normal play extra exciting for the kids.  Halloween is the perfect time to turn normal craft and play times into holiday fun and excitement.  We love playing play dough in our house.  I haven’t purchased play dough from the store for  a couple of years, and instead we make it at home.  Making homemade play dough  is cheap, easy and  a great way to get the kids in the kitchen.  Making it in fun festive colors turns it into the perfect Holiday activity for kids.
