Reindeer Sandwiches – Kid Friendly Holiday Lunch

Here is a fun way to spice up the kid’s packed lunch at school for the holidays that takes little extra time, but will be extra fun for them.  Reindeer sandwiches are the perfect way to make a lunch with a little holiday magic for the kiddos.  A heart shaped cookie cutter turns a regular old Pb&J sandwich into an adorable little reindeer sandwich.  Pretzels for antlers ,chocolate chip eyes, and a red M&M nose make this reindeer as cute as they are tasty.  The kids will love them and request them every day until Christmas arrives!  Make them for school, for a fun lunch at home, or for a kid friendly dish to pass at any holiday party.

I spotted these adorable little sandwiches over at And Everything Sweet as part of her reindeer party play date.  They are so quick and easy to make and my kids love them so much that I just had to share them with you.  I made these and packed them in my son’s lunch last Monday as a surprise and he simply couldn’t get enough of them!  He raved about how fun they were and has requested them in his lunch every day since.  Because they are so simple to make, I don’t mind a bit, and have a feeling he will be eating reindeer sammies for lunch until Christmas arrives.

Make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich as normal and use a heart cookie cutter to make the reindeer head.

Add two small twisted pretzels by pushing them into the center of the sandwich and you have antlers.

Now add two chocolate chips for eyes and a red M&M for a nose.

It’s as easy as that!
