We love chocolate chip cookies at our house, and we are all suckers for a bowl of cookie dough in any form.  Here is a great way to get to eat the cookie dough without the egg in it!  These are seriously addictive, and we usually have to hide and ration them so they aren’t all consumed in one sitting. We make these often as a simple treat at home and I love taking them to functions because they are so easy to throw together.  My son requested that I make these for his end of the year party at school and a triple batch wasn’t enough – they are easy, tasty, and a fun spin on the traditional cookie.

This is a recipe that I originally found on Disney Family.com and have been making over and over ever since.  I love the sweet simplicity of this easy recipe and I almost always have everything that I need to throw a batch together already in my pantry.  My entire family adores these little bite-sized cookie dough balls and they always lead to some fun family time in the kitchen.   Definitely worth sharing with you all – in my opinion.

These sweet little treats are the perfect summer treat to make and share at barbeques, picnics, or parties because you don’t even need to heat up the oven.  You are sure to be asked how you made them, and it really couldn’t be more simple.  Cream together some softened butter and brown sugar, then mix in flour, vanilla, and as many mini chocolate chips as you like.  If you like you can refrigerate and serve them up at that point, or you can add a little extra chocolate to suit your taste too.

Use some milk chocolate candy melts to drizzle chocolate over the top of them before you refrigerate them.  Or, if you are a total chocoholic, go crazy and completely dunk them into the melted chocolate.  Either way they are addicting and totally delicious.  I have tried melting the chocolate chips and drizzling, but it just doesn’t work as well as the candy melts – I love the Wilton brand best.

Just a heads up – you might as well make a double or a triple batch of these if you are heading to a get together – I promise they will go fast.

  1. Hey there! I could have sworn I’ve been to this website before but after checking through some of the post I realized it’s new to me.
Nonetheless, I’m definitely happy I found it and I’ll be book-marking and checking back often!

  2. great recipie just i added some mn’m on top and left it in the oven for 3 more minutes brothers loved it but got hiper and did not go to sleep.

  3. I have made this recipe a few times. I prefer to make the balls much smaller – about 1/4 inch – then chill & store them in the freezer. This helps prevent sticking together and makes them great as ice cream topping or snackable on their own. (I do skip the chocolate drizzle.)
