I officially have two kids and school, and I love the idea of them helping make little gifts to give the kids in their class during the holiday season. I like the idea of them making something that they can give that is simple, and inexpensive, and most importantly gives them the experience of giving! These little Reindeer noses treat bags are as adorable as can be and are not only fun to make, but fun for the kids to give as well. Some free printables, small gift bags and whoppers candies make this gift kid friendly and fun!
Last year I showed you a fun kids craft that we gave to the kids in my sons class. The reindeer food was a fun way to get creative at home with the kids and do an activity together, and was a fun gift for my son to give his classmates. This year I have a new trick up my sleeve for his class, and these little cuties are for my daughter to give the kids in her preschool class.
Eight little reindeer noses and a special Rudolph nose make this gift really fun for the kids to make with you! My daughter and I sang“Now Dasher! now, Dancer! now, Prancer and Vixen! On, Comet! On, Cupid! on, on Donner and Blitzen!… but do you recall, the most famous reindeer of all… and then busted into the Rudolph the red nosed reindeer song as we packed each bag and she dropped in a whopper as I said each reindeer’s name. She was especially excited to add in the red Rudolph noses as we sang . She really enjoyed the process of making these, and so did I! It was a fun project for both of us, and she simply can’t wait to share them at school with her friends.
To make these Reindeer Noses treat bags you will need:
- Whoppers candies
- Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Gummies – I found mine at the dollar store, but have seen them at Walmart and K-mart too (You could use red gumballs instead – but for preschoolers I opted for gummies).
- Party Gift bags (I used clear Wilton bags that are 4 X 9.5 inches)
- Card stock paper to print your free reindeer noses printable (found here on the blog Crazy for First Grade where was so sweet to share her printable!)
- Stapler to attach tags
- Optional: Ribbon if you prefer to tie tags on instead of staple
To make:
Print as many reindeer noses tags as you need and cut them out
open a clear bag and insert 8 whoppers and one red reindeer nose gummie – singing with each bag is optional, but I highly recommend it when it comes to the fun factor for the kiddos! My daughter smiled with delight each time, and I will never forget it!
Now fold over the top of the bag down ( 2- 3 times), place a tag over the top of the bag and staple the bag closed and the tag into place at the same time
Done!
Let your kids pass them out at school as a sweet little gift for their friends!
These would make a great stocking stuffer for anyone, a great neighbor gift, Holiday party favor, or sweet treat for co-workers. I’m fairly certain these would be a great little treat for anyone on your list of any age this holiday season.
