What I Wore Wednesday On Tuesday – Spring Patterns

Get the low down on why I am including What I Wore Wednesday posts here, but the main reason is to motivate myself to put in a little extra effort each and every day. The Pleated Poppy has an amazing series where she shares what she wears each week to keep herself accountable for getting out of her pajamas everyday and I’m joining in the fun! What I wore Wednesday is a way for Mom’s to share outfits and get inspired to get dressed even if they aren’t heading off to work each day.  A may be a day early this week, but this weeks outfits are simple, fun ans most importantly comfortable.  The star of the show this week is a new leopard print blouse that I scored on clearance at a thrift store for $2.00!  A great way to add some fun to plain old pieces in your wardrobe.

Spring is officially here in Wisconsin, but the weather in not following suit.  usually we have the sweaters packed away, the boots put up, and the flip flops sitting in the closet.  Not yet, due to the cold and the snow the spring outfits are looking more like winter outfits.  This week I wanted share a couple of outfits that include fun prints to liven things up a bit.

With the purchase of my first leopard printed item this winter (a pair of heels) I am finding that I kind of like it – in small doses.  I scored this lovely leopard print shirt at a thrift store for just $2.00, and I think it really makes this outfit!  You can’t beat a half of sale at a thrift store for adding pieces to your wardrobe that add a little interest.

Paired with some comfy jeans, my favorite boots, and a cozy sweater – the leopard print is just my style.

Leopard Print Blouse:  $2.00 thrift store clearance!!

Jeggings:  Kohls (Simply Vera – mine were a gift but I think they were less than $20 with a coupon!)

Sweater:  Target – Old

Boots:  Old Navy

The second outfit was a quick t-shirt and jeans combo perfect for taking the kids out for pizza on a Friday night!  I love how easy it is to throw on and go, but the print and sparkly shoes makes it really fun.  The neckline and fit of this shirt makes it into more than just a plain old t-shirt.  I even have this shirt in two colors because they are so versatile.  You can see it in another outfit here in a solid pink color.
