This week’s What I Wore post is going to be a little different… more of a What HE Wore type of a thing! And by he, I mean, my 6 year old son. Getting the kids ready for back to school time is a big deal at our house, especially because for the first year ever, I now have to school aged children. Well one preschool aged child, but she will be of to school each and every day this year! I wanted to share a little bit about a recent back to school shopping trip at Old Navy with you that was tons of fun for me and the kids. What I wore Wednesday this week is all about my little Man’s back to school makeover at Old Navy where kids multiply there style and get everything they need at a great price!
I have always been a fan of old Navy, especially for my kids! Their clothes are fun and there are always great sales, coupons, and opportunities to get the things that we need for our family at great prices. Something about the combination of fun, comfortable clothes at great prices that actually fit and flatter my little ones makes shopping for them there really fun! Their clothes totally fit the bill for us, and help my kids have a great comfortable style for school. I know that the clothes will stand the test of time, even the kid and toddler tests! Old Navy jean,s for my kids, have always been a staple and now that they are both going to be in school, we are definitely going to need a few extra pairs. So, when I was asked by Old navy to join the fun of sharing their back to school kid friendly styles, I was super excited to get on board!
So, I took my little man to Old Navy for a little back to school makeover!
The before picture is a typical summer outfit. You know… those comfy casual t-shirts with Popsicle drips down the front and some shorts (just the way it should be in the summertime).
The middle picture is my son’s first outfit choice while we were shopping in the store. He loved picking out the things that he liked!
The last picture is my little boy all dressed in what he will be wearing back to school on his first day of 1st grade! Complete with what is, in his eyes, the coolest backpack ever made. What I think is super cool is that you can buy a matching lunch box that clips onto the outside of the backpack so it doesn’t get squished in the bottom of the bag! Genius!
Shopping at Old Navy was super fun for both of my kids. My little girl even got to sit and color pictures in the changing room while my son tried things on! Two thumbs up from this mom for that luxury! Upon entering Old Navy, we walked to the boy’s section and I had my son pick out the things that he liked, and then i picked out a few things that might matched and made sure he liked them. Together we were ab;e to come up with some adorable outfits! No doubt if it was all up to my 6 year old, we would have left the store with nothing but graphic Angry Bird t-shirts and no pants, socks, or sweatshirts. So we hung out in the changing room and put together some great outfits, and got the thumbs up from my happy coloring preschooler when we put together a “cool” outfit.
Right now Old Navy has a great back to school sale! Our favorite hooded zip up sweatshirts and jeans for kids are only $10! They were these items all year long and I feel like we can never have enough of them. If you take your kids to Old Navy by August 14th you can snap a picture of them in front of the Old Navy runway and show of their style at http://www.oldnavy.com/myONstyle to enter a sweepstakes.
So thank you to Old Navy for helping me makeover my little man for back to school.
He know has everything he needs from head to toe and even the backpack of his dreams…
so he can head back to school with confidence, looking ever so handsome in his new duds!
