Happy Holidays from A Spotted Pony! I would like to thank each and every one of you for stopping by A Spotted Pony this year, and for joining in the fun! I feel truly blessed to have found a little place to share our families projects with the world. I cannot wait to see where the next year takes this little blog.
I wanted to share with you one more DIY sign before the holidays arrive. This Charming little Believe sign is hand painted and distressed to look old and weathered. It’s easy to make new signs that look old – they have great character and add a special touch to your holiday decor. This time of the year helps us all to believe in the magic of Christmas.
I love having fresh flowers in our home. I wish I could always have a beautiful arrangement in the center of the table and one for the sofa table as well but they are just to expensive. This time of the year it is especially nice to have a special arrangement for those family dinners. This year, with about $13.00 dollars worth of grocery store cut flowers I was able to make just what I was hoping for on a major budget.
Need a fun activity for your little ones as the Holiday’s draw near? Give your kids a chance to decorate their very own little Christmas tree with whatever they please. They can get creative and make the tree as fun and silly as they like! It is a great way to let your kids in on the holiday decorating. They will be so proud of what they have created.
Are you done with your Christmas shopping yet? There are always last minute gifts that you need to grab and get ready before the holidays. Here are fives super simple, fast, but still adorable gift ideas for the hard to buy for people on your list. These are great ideas for teachers, neighbors, family, friends, anyone that you aren’t sure what to get for Christmas!
Decorating for the holidays is fun no matter what your age. In our house we have a great mixture of unique vintage finds mixed with inexpensive Christmas decor and a little fun for the kids as well as some equestrian touches. When we decorate for the holidays it’s all about what makes us each happy. It doesn’t have to cost a lot to be beautiful and full of meaning.
Have you heard of the Elf on the Shelf Christmas tradition? If you haven’t and you have little ones in the house you have got to check it out. We welcomed our family’s elf to our house in 2008 and he is now a beloved tradition that fills the days before Christmas with excitement and some serious Christmas magic.
With all of the holiday get together, parties, and family functions it is easy to run out of ideas for bringing a dish to pass. Delight kids and adults alike with these simple to make and super cute little snowman doughnuts. With just a few ingredients you can bring a tasty treat to your next party that will have everyone smiling.
This super easy Christmas kids craft is a tradition in our home. Make some magical reindeer food to help Santa’s reindeer spot your house! Your kids will have as much fun making this as they will spreading it onto the lawn on Christmas Eve. With a few supplies you have a great activity for the season.
My kids love their Christmas Jammies, and they also love candy canes. Those two things were the inspiration for these soft and comfy homemade pajamas. This year I tried my hand at making them myself instead of buying them. They love their one of a kind PJ sets, and I love to snuggle them anytime they wear them.
