I simply cannot believe Thanksgiving is just around the corner. In the spirit of Thankfulness the kids and I did another tree project to talk about what they are thankful for. All you need is construction paper, scissors, glue, and markers and your child can make their own version of a thankful tree.
I would say we are officially into the football season with a bang this year. You almost can’t live in Wisconsin without being a Packers fan. For most games the hubby plops himself in front of the big screen, and the kids and I look forward to snuggling up together and having some fun “game Day” snacks.
Throw pillows are one of the quickest and easiest ways to change up your home decor and show your personal style. These Mr. and Mrs. pillows are an adorable DIY project that you can make for yourself or as a gift. What a cute and quirky way to claim your side of the bed or your favorite spot on the couch.
This month is all about thankfulness. It is a great time to talk to your kids about why you and your family are so blessed and how to be truly thankful for what you have. Using some sticks and some paper bags I created a tree that will give us an opportunity each day in November to talk as a family about why we are thankful.
I love adding the natural texture and warm color of burlap around our home. This is the perfect time of year to add festive fall colors to burlap to create a welcoming fall wreath. Here an easy DIY wreath that starts with a dollar store wreath and some burlap fabric.
Playing play dough is one of my kids very favorite activities. Make the play dough so they can eat it, and you are the coolest mom on the block! When you mix edible play dough with some leftover Halloween candy to decorate it – you get a super fun after dinner treat that will keep the kids busy for hours.
I have gotten a huge response from my post on sock bun curls! It is an easy and beautiful way to style your long hair, especially for busy moms- on the go. I had numerous questions and wanted to give you lady’s a video example of sock bun curls.
Earlier I showed you my shelf makeover for my vintage camera display. I saved an old beat up shelf that was on it’s way to the dump. I wanted to share with you the step by step on how I repainted and refinished this shelf to fit our decor.
I am loving the fall weather and am also loving to wear my riding boots. What better way to wear your riding boots all season long, than with ruffled knee high socks and a skirt. I was able to make the most adorable ruffled socks for about $4.00.
