I am so relieved that the fall like weather has arrived here in Wisconsin. I have got the sweatshirts, boots, flannel shirts, and leggins out of the closet and am excited to add a bunch of my clothes back into the wardrobe. Here’s hoping that I can keep up with the whole idea of getting out of my pajamas to run the kids to school when I could easily just throw on a sweatshirt and go.
Get the low down on why I am including What I Wore Wednesday posts here, but the main reason is to motivate myself to put in a little extra effort each and every day. What I wore Wednesday is a way for Mom’s to share outfits and get inspired to get dressed even if they aren’t heading off to work each day. The Pleated Poppy has an amazing series where she shares what she wears each week to keep herself accountable for getting out of her pajamas everyday and I’m joining in the fun!
Thursday: Kids off to school and a rare chance to go out for breakfast with the hubby
This was an ultra comfy outfit, and almost felt a little too much like being in my pajamas. My husband kept saying it was like something out of a white snake video, and sadly I found out that he was correct after googeling it.

I found this great shirt half off at Old Navy a couple weeks ago while school shopping for the kiddos. I fell head over heels in love with the color and it is super soft and comfy.

Hair: I decided it was time to switch to a little darker color for fall. The summer blonde was starting to look drab so I added a little bolder and darker brown and toned down the blond to more of a caramel color. I always leave the underneath of my hair a solid color and a tad darker than the rest. It is easier for maintenance and I think it adds a little depth and excitement to the overall color. My hot rollers have been my favorite styling tool lately – they give me great volume and curls that last and the best part is that I can run around and take care of the kiddos while my hair is curling.
Sunday: Taking the kids a play starring some very talented family members.
This is one of my favorite outfits. It is casual and fun and fits my style perfectly. I am loving the new hair color – especially with the colors of this outfit.
Lace Shirt: TJ Maxx $12.00
Distressed jeans: $6.00 Thrifted Goodwill (Amethyst brand)
Tank Top: Shopko $8.00
Wedges: Goodwill $8.00
Total Outfit Cost: $34.00
Hair: I used hot rollers on blow dried hair. I then did a little teasing to the top and sides, smooth, and pin hair half back. This is my favorite style for times when I know I will be chasing kids. I can keep it down, but out of my face and it stays put all day long thanks to the backcombing and a little hairspray.
