Nothing says “I will love you forever Mom” like a tattoo, but here is an adorable toddler alternative! Appliqued shirts are a great way to make a special day even more memorable. You won’t be able to resist your sweeties in these matching Mom tattoo shirts.
What does a chronic DIYer do with a new package of 80’s glam permanent markers, and a pair of $4.00 thrifted Nike Shocks? Well customize them with the perfect colors to suit her style, of course. I know – you think I’m crazy, but why not – it’s just for fun! I turned a plain pair of white sneakers into colorful customized tennis shoes.
Appliqued shirts make great customized gifts for kids. They are easy and inexpensive to create and are one of a kind gifts to give for any occasion. When a close friend was expecting her second little rock star of a boy I decided to create some matching rock themed shirts for the new baby and the new big brother to be.
My kids love their Christmas Jammies, and they also love candy canes. Those two things were the inspiration for these soft and comfy homemade pajamas. This year I tried my hand at making them myself instead of buying them. They love their one of a kind PJ sets, and I love to snuggle them anytime they wear them.
Having trouble thinking of something to give the ladies on you Christmas list? Give them some cozy slippers that are one of a kind? Take out the plain old leather tie and add in their favorite color to make slippers that are extra special. You can personalize these with their school colors, favorite sports team colors, or just something that fits their style.

Plaid has been a fun trend this fall and winter. It is another one of those trends that I’m not sure I can pull off, but with the help of some cute and feminine plaid I think I can. A simple do it yourself infinity scarf in a pretty pink plaid is just right for me. It is a great way to sport the plaid trend without going overboard.
Last winter I was on the hunt for a short sleeved sweater and had no luck finding one. I found a cute long sleeved sweater at Goodwill that had the potential, but it needed some adjustments. I altered the sleeves so that it was short sleeved and then used the part that I cut off to make some adorable little legwarmers for my daughter.
I took an old corduroy coat that I wasn’t wearing anymore an re purposed it into a fun fall vest that I love. Here is the exciting part….I used one of the sleeves to make a little doggie jacket! One old corduroy coat equals a fashionable fall vest t for you, and a cute little doggie coat for your best furry friend!
I am loving the fall weather and am also loving to wear my riding boots. What better way to wear your riding boots all season long, than with ruffled knee high socks and a skirt. I was able to make the most adorable ruffled socks for about $4.00.
