Moon Dough Recipe – Busy Kids Are Happy Kids

Need a super fun activity to occupy those kiddos on a “boring” summer day.  Moon or Cloud dough is your answer!  This is so quick and easy, and will thrill your kids to pieces.  This stuff is made with two simple household ingredients – all you need to do is mix and start playing!  It has a fabulously fun texture that makes it a sensory experience for your kids.  It crumbles, sifts, and separates, but can also be packed, patted and made into shapes and structures too.  It’s gonna get messy, so be prepared.  But the messiest days at our house are often the most...

Summer Fun Activity – Kid Decorated Play Shirts

Finally, summer is here in all of it’s glory, and for this stay at home mom it is the absolute best time of the year!  It means time with both my kids, the freedom to play all day, late nights, snuggles and sleeping in.  I am relishing the opportunity to have my little lovlies with me all day again.  Along with having them home all day comes the responsibility of keeping them busy, entertained, and creatively teaching them throughout the summer months.  We use our summer fun list as a guideline for things we wan to do, explore, and learn more about each summer.  Here is one of our...

Garden Teepee – Fun For Kids Great For Plants

Spending hours in the garden with the kids can be a treat when the kids have a space that lets them explore.  Making gardening fun for the kids helps gardening stay fun for me at the same time!  With the addition of a kid friendly space in the garden we created a fantastic teepee for the kids to play in and for some plants to climb on.  I in-vision it covered in bean and pea plants and the kids sitting inside snacking on fresh vegetables come the end of summer.  Our teepee was constructed with large branches, twine, and string to give the kid’s play area a fort that still looks...
