DIY Halloween Mummy Light Decoration

Here is an adorable and simple DIY Halloween decoration that you can make up in minutes.  Rescue a few jars from the recycling and grab your hot glue gun for this goofy Halloween craft.  Since the kids are still little, scary decorations are a no-go in our house.  These mummies are super silly and friendly enough to be fun for the kids this Halloween.  With a few supplies you can convert those jars into an entire family of adorable mummies that can be lit up for the perfect Halloween decoration day or night. This was one of those craft projects that I found  on Pinterest (via Hi...

What I Wore Wednesday – What A Difference

Can I just say – WOW!  What a difference three months can make!  I have been doing these little What I wore posts that long, and I can hardly believe the transformation.  The interesting part for me…is that I have had all of this stuff in my closet for years.  Things that I love, but I never wore , and for no apparent reason.  Three months later I am starting to enjoy the thought of getting dressed in the morning instead of taking the lazy way out, and it really doesn’t take any extra time. Kid’s DIY Princess Toadstool And Princess Peach Costumes

This year’s Halloween costumes are done, and my little ones are sporting some cute new DIY costumes.  I dislike the thought of spending ton’s of money on cheaply made Halloween costumes, so I always like to make my own.  This year Princess Toadstool and Toad from Super Mario were the final choice, and the kid’s play the part just right.  For about $25.00 total I was able to create two totally unique and adorable costumes. So first of all, I’m happy to finally have their costumes done…and judging by the pictures I got, so are the kids.  Last year’s DIY...

What I Wore Wednesday – Loving Layers

I am feeling extra comfortable now that I have the option to layer clothes thanks to the cooler weather.  It allows me to create moer interesting and texturally exciting outfits using color and different fabrics with scarves, sweaters, and layers.  Not to mention I love being all covered up and cozy warm in soft, warm fabrics.  I’m finding lots of great ways to layer summer tanks with sweaters and scarves for looks that I love. Get the low down on why I am including What I Wore Wednesday posts here, but the main reason is to motivate myself to put in a little extra effort each and...
