Shelf Makeover For A Vintage Camera Display

I was lucky enough to acquire some really neat vintage cameras a while back.  I was waiting for the perfect piece of furniture to come along that I could display them on.  I found an old shelf that was on it’s way to the dump and refinished it into the perfect display piece. I am so thrilled to be sharing this project with you this week.  I have a serious obsession with photography, old family pictures, and old camera’s.  This shelf redo has allowed me the perfect space to display my goodies in an interesting and adorable way. I got all of my inspiration for this project...

How To Make The Easiest Throw Pillows – Repurpose Placemats Into Pillows

Have you ever spotted beautiful place mats in the store and wished you had a reason to buy them.  Grab those place mats because they make beautiful throw pillows that take minutes to make!   These are seriously the easiest pillows you can possibly make. I have had these place mats in our cupboards for about 5 years.  I got them because I thought they where pretty, but we honestly never once used them.  With a two and four year old in the house, if I did put them on the table, I found myself picking them up off the floor thirty times a day.  They are just to pretty to actually use at...

Decorate Pumpkins With Fabric Paint And 3D Stickers

Each year we do the normal pumpkin patch visit and pumpkin carving, but here is an alternative to pumpkin carving.  Grab some fabric paint and 3D stickers and let the kids decorate their own pumpkins that will last weeks on the porch. We love our pumpkin carving but our kids are so small that it is hard for them to really be the one to “create” their pumpkin.  Of course they help and we have a great time.  This is a project that we have done three years in a row and it allows the kids to have their pumpkins on display all month long as well as be the one to create these from...

Stop And Go Light Magnetic Toy And Wall Art

Turn three pizza pans into an adorable  piece of wall art for any little boy’s room or playroom.  It is as fun and educational as it is cute.  With a few inexpensive things you can create a totally unique toy that doubles as wall art! I have been making magnet boards similar to this for my kids and friend’s kids for about a year.  They are fun and educational.  I was using just a rectangular pan and adding magnetic letters, numbers, and objects.  They spent a lot of time learning to spell words and recognize letters using them. When I spotted these pizza pans at Walmart...
