Gallery Wall For A Large Room

We had one large blank wall in our living room that needed something special.  I came up with a gallery wall that tells the story of our family.  It is filled with things we love and our very favorite pictures!  A great focal point and the first thing that you notice when you walk into our house. This wall was bare and needed something really special to fill it!  When you enter our home there is no foyer, just the living room, which is open to the kitchen.  I didn’t want to spend a huge amount of money on giant wall art, so I searched for gallery walls for inspiration.  I found...

Kids Drive-In Movie Cars

What could be more fun than an outdoor movie night? A DRIVE-IN!! I created these fun little cars out of cardboard boxes so the kids had a comfy place to enjoy their movie! This is one of the coolest ideas I have ever seen! I was planning an outdoor movie night for a camping weekend and had already completed the outdoor screen when I stumbled upon this very cool tutorial on how to make little cars!  I was so excited to make these, they were done within hours! I collected some supplies and I got to work!!   You will need Cardboard boxes that your child will fit in, but isn’t...

Do It Yourself Outdoor Movie Screen

This summer we had a family camping weekend at our house!  With 4 kids under four camping I really wanted some fun activities to keep them busy!  We created an outdoor movie theater and a car for each child to sit in and enjoy the movie under the stars! First thing we had to do was create a screen to play our movie on.  I found and followed a great tutorial on making an outdoor movie theater, making just a couple changes. To make the screen you will need: 2 Yards of Duck cloth – I got mine at JoAnn Fabrics.  Using a 40% coupon I was able to get it for about $11.00 Roll of black...

Summer Days Reading in the Hammock

One of our very favorite things to do this summer has been to gather our favorite books and head to the hammock!  Now that the mosquitoes aren’t so bad we are spending an hour or so, each day, reading together just swinging in the hammock! It is the perfect chance to get some snuggle time with  my, always on the go, kiddos!  The hammock is an authentic Brazilian hammock that my husband and I brought back from a trip to Brazil we took a long time ago.  It is so special to us and makes me feel like I am back in the Brazilian air taking a siesta, but now I get to enjoy it at home with...

Turn A Train Table Into An Adorable Little Girl’s Play Table

So last Christmas we decided to get my son a train table…..then we decided to start our daughter on the critter castle collection, after we saw how much she loved them at a friends place. The combination of these things got my wheels turning!  Wouldn’t it be nice for them to each have their own space to play on!  We looked at the tables that they make for for critter castles, but they were small, and expensive.  When I can’t find what I’m looking for I usually find a way to make it, just the way I want it! So I found one of these Imaganirium train tables used at...
